Lesson 6, Mild the Mist upon the Hill

Ans. When she thinks of her childhood, the poet sees herself in the protection of her father's shelter. She finds herself near their old hall door. [কবি যখন নিজের শৈশবের কথা ভাবেন তখন তিনি নিজেকে তাঁর বাবার আশ্রয়ের সুরক্ষা বলয়ের মাঝে দেখেন। তিনি নিজেকে দেখতে পান তাঁদের পুরোনো হলঘরের দরজার কাছে।]

Ans. The poet watched the evening to fall after a day of rain. She also watched blue, sweet mists of summer covering the mountain-chain in the horizon. [কবি বৃষ্টিমুখর দিনের পর দেখেছিলেন সন্ধে নামতে। তিনি আরও দেখেন যে গ্রীষ্মের নীল মিষ্টি কুয়াশা দিগন্তের পর্বতমালাকে ঢেকে ফেলছে।]

Ans. The mist upon the hill, described in the poem, is mild. It tells the poet that there will be no storm the next day. [কবিতায় বর্ণিত পাহাড়ের ওপরের কুয়াশা পাতলা। এটি কবিকে বলছে যে পরের দিন আর কোনো ঝড় হবে না।]

Ans. The day has wept to its heart's content. All the store of silent sorrow has been spent throughout the day. [দিনটি প্রাণভরে কেঁদেছে। সমস্ত নিঃশব্দ দুঃখের ভাণ্ডার সারাদিন ধরে উজাড় করে দিয়েছে।]
